The Sustainability in Packaging Europe conference, 21–23 October 2025 in Barcelona, is the region’s premier event for advancing sustainable packaging. Celebrating its 10th year, it will host over 650 professionals and 100+ speakers from brands such as Mondelez, LEGO, P&G, Unilever, and PepsiCo. The agenda covers EU regulations (PPWR, EPR), circular economy strategies, recycling innovations, bio-based materials, and emerging technologies. Praised by Nestlé as a “do not miss” event, it offers a unique platform for networking, learning, and shaping the future of packaging sustainability.

This event gathers global leaders and sustainability experts to explore advancements in fiber-based packaging, focusing on regulatory compliance, and circular design strategies. 

On October 2, Renata Daudt will speak about the “Designing for Circularity: Policy, Innovation & Fiber Packaging Opportunities in ANZ,” and will participate in the panel discussion “Regulatory Readiness in Fiber-Based Packaging,” alongside industry leaders from Nestlé and AFRY to discuss strategies for navigating evolving packaging regulations.

ReGen, previously known as the Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE), will showcase cutting-edge technical displays, offer vital industry insights, and feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and invaluable networking opportunities. 

The program aims to help attendees – from seasoned experts to newcomers – navigate their roles in creating a circular economy that keeps resources in use, minimises waste, and regenerates natural systems.

This year’s summit, together with the global Sustainability Awards ceremony and dinner, is designed to promote collaboration across the sector, explore innovative solutions, address key sustainability challenges, and provide actionable takeaways. 

Coordinated by the AIP, the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards are designed to recognise companies and individuals who are making a significant difference in their field in Australia and New Zealand. The PIDA Awards are the exclusive award program for all Australia and New Zealand entries into the prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards, which are coordinated by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO).
